Dear all, I need help with the following issue .
I have several (about 1000) points (x,y) that I´d like to aproximate with a circunference.
The idea is to find the center (x0,y0) and the R for which the sum of the squares of the distances from the given points to the closest point of the circunference is minimum.

Is there any formula I could use?
If not, any idea about how to proceed?
