Why not use something like ‘Skype’ to run a workshop and you can reach the whole world.

'Skype' is an internet telephone service and is free providing it's between other Skype users.

All anyone needs is a microphone and a webcam (although optional but very useful) and away we go!
The tutor can turn the webcam to his screen to show all the points he wants to make. It's as near to face-to-face as you can get, really!

There's enough interest for both to be tryed out
