Is Access the right tool for me?

    Hi all,
I am wondering if Access is the tool I need form my solution.
I am trying to make price tags via a template that would pull product info from a seperate excel Worksheet. What I'd like to do is have a template that I could enter a model number and have all model info(price, color, etc) pull over from Excel insert it into the template and then print...Hope this makes sense. Is Access the product I will need?

Re: Is Access the right tool for me?

    Hi mrtoyz,
    Few things:
    1. Is there a reason to LEAVE the product information in an excel worksheet?
    - I suggest having all the data stored in one place for editing reasons, unless you get that sheet from a vendor maybe and it is auto filled out for you.
    2. You are trying to make a printable label?
    3. Honestly you could probably use either excel or access for this. I like access so I would say access, but an excel user might say excel.

    Hope this helps, some.

I like using both Access and Excel. Whatever you're more comfortable using, then use that. Access will do the task just to answer your question.
