Im recently starting out on a new adventure and need a freeware customer/sales database. I have no capital to buy hence freeware. Surfing around I have found some practical software but the cost is crazy as I dont know if my venture will take off.
I have no knowledge of access and wouldnt know where to start.
In a nutshell does anyone know of any software no matter how old that will do the job until such point I need to invest.
Thanx in advance to anyone that can help or direct me to a place of interest where I can aquire
I don't know of any free databases available to you. There are lots of templates available -- you will have to do an internet search to see what you can find, but many will be geared towards Access or File Maker Pro. Both of these products you would have to buy. As to free software, there is the open office product called "BASE." I have never used it, but I believe that it is not as user friendly as Access which has a Graphical User Interface. I think it is primarily driven by SQL which you would have to learn. Others may correct me on this matter.
You could try to search the internet for "Shareware Databases." You never know what the Internet will produce.
Post back if you have any specific questions or issues. There are lots of resources here with lots of good answers to specific questions.
