I have a .txt file that I want to open/save to excel using VBA in Access (apologies!!)
I know its long winded but we have an existing VBA script in Access that outputs a .txt file which is delimited by a semicolon (
All Im looking for is some code that saves this file into an excel file at location C:\File\excel.xls (overwriting the existing data and if possible starting on the 2nd row leaving the column headings in place)
Attached is a sample of the .txt file.
Thanks in advance for all replies

Please post the code for the existing export as a text file so that we can see what type of object you are exporting. ie. are you exporting from a table, query or report? Does it have a name?, etc. What version of Access are you using? What version of Excel do you want exported to?
