Database summary

Is there a way to add new data to a summary report and have it automatically fill-in? For example, if I am keeping track of how much a product has made and I then want to add a new product, is there a way to be able to add the new product to the table and have it automatically listed in the summary report. I am trying to avoid having to do a new summary report every time I add a new product. Thank you
