Re: Generating reports, may need excel?

Ok, I've discovered the "total" button (sigma icon) on the query design.. I apologize if my OP boils down to "how do I use access?" lol

But really I need make the same report for each hospital composed of a few queries so I figure now is a good a time as ever to learn the power of access.

I'm in the same boat. Still learning it and there seems to be no easy place to start.
A good place to place questions is on the below links. Access is great for generating reports and storing data. Wished I had a better grasp of it too.

www.excelforum.com (has an access forum as well as excel)
www.aspfree.com (Access forum along with other programming languages etc)
    www.accessforums.net

    Good luck

I'd suggest Access 2000 Programming published by Wrox. Since it is old, you should be able to find it for cheap, but the info is outstanding and the presentation is easy to follow.
Is your code running too slowly?
Does your workbook or database have a bunch of duplicate pieces of data?
Have a look at this article to learn the best ways to set up your projects.
It will save both time and effort in the long run!
