Excel 2007 watch window not working
I have Excel 2007 installed on two different computers. I cannot get the Watch Window to work on either of them. I have clicked on Find and Select, Go to Special, and then Formulas and OK. I then go to the Formula toolbar and select Watch Window. Clicking on that is supposed to bring up the Watch Window toolbar and the button to Add Watch. However, on both my machines, clicking on the Watch Window button does nothing.
I have tried pre-selecting cells, letting the program select all cells with formulas and nothing seems to work. Obviously I must be doing something wrong, but I am darned if I know what. I have tried to follow the instructions to the letter but I must have missed something somewhere. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!! |

Open the Formulas tab in the Ribbon & in the Formula Auditing section, select Watch Window. Click the Add Watch button to specify the cell you wish to monitor

I am sorry... Apparently I did not make myself clear. When I click on Watch Window......nothing happens. There IS no Add Watch button. I have followed the steps exactly as described in the Help section and on Office Online.
There is no Add Watch button anywhere. Clicking on the Watch Window simply highlights the window - nothing else. Is there a switch somewhere that needs to be set to activate the Watch Window toolbar? |
