Is it impossible for the Excel trial to exit compatibility mode?
So, I've used Excel 2007 before, and I wanted to use it for a simple project I needed to do at work. I downloaded the trial and went along my way. At the end of the day, I wasn't sure if I'd be working on the same computer the next day, so I saved the file in .xls format, since that computer was the only one with Excel 2007 on it.
Today I went back to that computer to continue working, and the file opens in Compatibility mode. I've read other people's posts on this and it says to just save it in .xlsx format and reopen, or go to the Convert option. Problem is that both of these options are greyed out for me, as are 95% of all actions in all tabs of the ribbon. I can't work on this at all, and I'd be very frustrated if I had to start it over completely, since it took several hours to do yesterday. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Sorry, I figured it out. I hadn't gone through the activation wizard, so it was disabling my options. Once I went through it, they became availible.
