Unprintable characters in Excel
I have an Excel workbook that has a range of data that was downloaded from another application. The range contains un-printable characters. The TRIM worksheet function didn't remove them. By using the CHAR worksheet function on each individual character of the contents of one cell, I determined that it was CHAR(160) that is the offending, un-printable character.
We copied and pasted this invisible character to the "Find and replace" feature of Excel. We replaced this invisible character with nothing (null) throughout the range. Is there an easier way to do this? |
