Excel 2007 is worse that Excel 2000/2003 in many ways. The most aggravating problem I have as a finance guy is that I can no longer cut & past excel cells formatted as currency into MSWord or any email without the currency formatted cells messing up with the "$" creating an extra line all by itself
Who was the Microsoft genius that worked that one out?????
How can something so simple get so messed up? Please help on this if I'm missing something.
Thanks!
P.S. The incompatibility issues of 2000/2003 with 2007 forced me to upgrade after the "free" conversion utilities proved buggy...
Have you tried special paste values?

No. I'm not sure what you are referring to but I'll look into it. When I paste to other applications (Email,MSWord2007) I use the <Ctrl> "C" and <Ctrl> "V" keyboard commands. It worked just fine with Excel 2000/2003...
I have noticed though that it's not just the currency format. It looks like ALL formats wrap around on an extra line. It's just that a currency format puts that "$" on the line above making it almost unreadable.
I have attempted to increase the column width and row height all to no avail.
Thanks for your reply though.
Cheers,
