    Certain functions unable to work

    Hi there,

I'm using excel 2007, and certain functions stopped working.

I was unable to right-click or drag any cells. I did a searched and followed instructions on another thread to type

    Application.CommandBars("Cell").Enabled = True

    in the VBA editor.

However, this only solves the problem temporarily. Furthermore, I am still unable to right-click on the cell headers. eg "A B C D E". I use this function a lot.

I tried to repair and reinstall office 2007 but I would get a microsoft bootstrap error.

    Any help? Thanks!

I'm not a rocket scientist (although we have one nearby..), but if you get an error trying to install Office, there's likely a problem.

I know that Excel functionality becomes disabled after a trial period ends, or if using an illegal copy of Office and the license is invalidated (is that a word? maybe de-validated?). If neither of those are the issue, then you probably need to get your PC cleaned up, do a full uninstall and then re-install.

Second thing to check is that your mouse's right-click button is working properly.

    Thanks for your reply.

My mouse's right-click is working perfectly. In fact, the problem is solved temporarily when I enter the command in the VBA editor. It resurfaces whenever excels restarts.

It is neither, and I have too much stuff to do a full reinstallation now.
