Copy Contents of a Cell Address

    Hey everyone!

OK so I am making a check registry for my wife and I to use and update as needed.

I have a cell labeled "Current Bank Amount (Cell Address: K3)".

I want this cell to display the contents of cell address K4 at all times, even if it is updated or if a new row is added above K4.

    How can I do this?

    God bless,
    Johnathan

    ncmay,

Thanks for that. Although I didn't see what I was looking for.

Does it make sense in my original post?

I simply want the value of a cell address to be displayed in another cell.

And I want to use the static cell address and not the cell by itself. This way if the previous cell moves, i.e. a new row above is created, then the value is always updated.

    God bless,
    Johnathan

Can you post a sample workbook and show an example?

    Maybe you mean:

    =Index(K:K,4)

so if your previous K4 is now K5, then you will get the new K4.
