Question Import / Arrange Daily Totals from Data Tab

    Good morning!

I'm trying to export data from an existing tab into a table arrangement on two other tabs, to save manual entry of a ton of data every day. This started to work with the GETPIVOTDATA formula, until I realized that there's not a way to drag the formula down - I'd have to manually copy and edit it, on average, 30 times for each of my employees every month.

My raw data on the detail tab is arranged in rows: Employee Name | Work Item Completed | Date Completed | Point Value

This data is updated daily with a refreshed report. There's a new spreadsheet every month.

The other tabs are individual breakdowns of each of my business units, designed to show the sum total of points earned by each employee in those business units every day that month. Columns for employee name, row for date completed. Is there a formula I can plug in that will calculate the daily points earned and display it in these tabs, without having to either enter it manually from a pivot table, or manually enter the GETPIVOTDATA formula for every employee, every day?

Once I'm aware of a formula, I can generally figure out the syntax with a minimum of frustration and cursing. I just don't know if there's one out there that will get me where I want to go. Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

Re: Import / Arrange Daily Totals from Data Tab

It will help us to better understand and quickly provide a precise answer if you could upload a sample workbook that exactly duplicates your real WB and contains non-sensitive, but representative, data. Your sample workbook should manully show the desired results.
