Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

Re: drop down menu Help ??

    G'day Mick,

    Steps for xl2007

Okay go to your 'Shift' sheet and enter your new times below the current times in Col A.

Go to the 'Formulas' tab and click on the 'Name Manager' icon. Then select (click on the name once) 'ShiftNames'. Now look at the bottom of the that box to find 'Refer to:' Now edit the cell range in that box to suit your new shift times.

Eg if you entered two more shift times the cell range looks like this now =Shifts!$A$3:$A$13

Now click on the tick then OK. Now your done.

    Cheers

    Re: Dropdown menu

    G'day Mick,

What has happen there is a thing called 'Conditional Formatting'.

What you need to do in your case is to highlight the range 'Schedule'!B7:H26

Then click on the 'Home' tab then click on 'Conditional Formatting' icon then select in the pop up menu 'Manage Rules'. Then click on 'New Rule...' then click on 'Format only that contain' then move down in that menu box then select the middle drop down box and select 'equal to' then in the box to the right of that enter =INDEX(ShiftNames,10) then click on 'Format..' button to colour the cell to your desire.

Btw =INDEX(ShiftNames,10) The number highlighted you need to change has you add more rules to the conditional formatting. As this number is looking up the Shift time and what row it is in, in the named range 'ShiftNames'.

If you have further problems please start a new thread cos the title of this thread as been solved (please mark) and polite cross post the opening thread. This is all in accordant of the forum rules.

O yeah thanks for the rep !!

    Cheers
