Hi all,
Im new to exel & looking to do up a iventory spreedsheet, where I can have a cost of an item in a column(a), next column(b) how many items & then a total in the next column(c).
I have worked out how to do the multiply column 'a' & 'b' with total in column 'c' per line.
Is there a way I can setup so I can multiply column 'a1' all the way to column 'a100' with column 'b1' to 'b100' to give totals in cloumn 'c1' to 'c100' or do I have to do each line individually.
I hope my question makes sense.
Cheers, Paul
if you have the data in columns a and b then just make sure the formula in c1 is =A1*B1 then select the cell C1 and drag the little black box on the right hand lower corner of the selected cell down to row 100.
If you can't figure out how a formula works, try stepping through it using "Evaluate Formula" in the Formula Auditing menu item in the tools menu!
If you want to see where your code went wrong, try stepping through it by clicking in the code and pressing F8 and watch as the magic happens!

That what I was after.
