Cross references lists in 2 Columns to report an entry in a 3rd column

I need a forumla that will search through a column of text and report the text that appears in the adjacent column.

For example, in Column "B" I have a drop down list from which the user makes a Labor Category Description selection.

The drop down list in Column "B" is based upon a full list of Labor Category Descriptions that is located in Column "S" of the same worksheet.

In Column "T" of the same worksheet, I have a list of Labor Codes that correspond to each Labor Category Description listed in Column "S".

I want to have a formula in Column "C" that will search Column "S" for the user selected Labor Code Description entry that was made in Column "B". Once the formula finds the Column "B" entry in Column "S", I then want the corresponding Labor Code that is contained in the Column "T" list to be reported in Column "C".

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

    SPRoyLLC,

Assuming the data has headers and the formula starts on row 2, put the following formula in cell C2:
    =IF(B2="","",VLOOKUP(B2,S:T,2,FALSE))

    Then copy down.

    Hope that helps,
