Within a blank Excel worksheet, I inserted a smart art shape that allows text to be written. However, instead of the text writing as you would expect, it appears to be typing over itself, almost like its being constrained in some way. I have looked everywhere that I know and cannot fix this. It doesn't happen in WORD, so is this an excel issue or do I just have to change a setting that I cannot find?
Thanks
Ron
Do you have Office 2007 SP2 installed?
Ah, I am at a work computer so don't know that. I have tried a colleagues PC and there's work fine. Assume its some sort of setting issue
Office button, Excel Options, click the Resources section and see if the 'about Microsoft Office Excel 2007' section at the bottom includes SP2 after the version number.
Right thanks - no it doesn't have SP2. However, I have had to reboot the PC since my last message and for some daft reason it now works ok. I don't understand what is goung on but at least I have done what I wanted - until the next time it happens. Would having SP2 be beneficial for this or other matters. Appreciate your response.
Ron
Yes SP2 is essential for office 2007.
