HOW CAN I AUTOMATICALLY PLACE DATA INTO CELLS BASED ON OTHER CELL DATA. IE, IF CELL F3 IS THE WORD CAT, THEN OTHER DATA WILL BE PLACED INTO OTHER CELLS. HARDER, ANY OF THE RANGE F2:F30 MIGHT BE CAT, BUT IF IT APPEARS IN F5, THEN DATA AUTOMATICALLY GOES TO G5 AND X5. THEN, WE HAVE SEVERAL POSSIBILITES FOR CELL F3 BESDIES CAT, WHICH WOULD AUTOMAICALLY FILL DIFFERENT DATA INTO G5 AND X5.
Well, based on the information provided, it sounds as though you just need one or more IF statements.
You could do with providing a bit more detail and, ideally, a sample workbook.
