    VLookup #N/A Error...

    Hi Excelians,

I've been trying to figure out a way to fix one of these #N/A errors.

Situation : I need to allocate work to my colleagues (10+ staff) from a master workbook to their individual respective workbooks and reflect the result from their respective workbooks to my master workbook.

I am using Vlookup to allocate work to their respective workbook. But when I am trying to get the completed value on to my Master Workbook, I am getting #N/A error.

I have attached example workbooks for ref. Please help me out guys. Thanks in advance.

In a VLookup, the first column in the lookup table has to be the unique id that you are searching for. Therefore either set up both tables the same way or you will have to use Index and Match.

    Hope this helps.

Both tables are set up the same way.

Change the range in columns C and D to $B$2:$D$12 and the returned column to 2 and 3 respectively and it works fine.
