I would like to import a hard copy of calibration information into a cell in excel and treat the cell as part of a vlookup inquiry. Is it possible to import a hard copy of a form into a cell in excel? Currently, if I try to copy the file as a jpeg and import, it looks encrypted. Help??
As far as Excel's concerned a picture is just that and it wouldn't know if it's a copy of a document or of a cute little puppy. You will need to extract the info from the document before you import it into Excel.

We have a print to pdf or jpeg function on our office printer. when I save as a jpeg and try to insert the file (not the pic) into the cell, it comes up encrypted. What we're trying to do is put our calibration documentation in one location with all the calib info via vlookup. I would like to be able to open it as you would a pdf or a text doc saved as a jpeg instead of the encrypted mess that excel produces. Is there a way?
I'd be tempted to store the documents in a folder and just have hyperlinks to them in your Excel file.

Please don't quote whole posts in your replies. You'll get into trouble with the mods.

Oh sorry. I thought that's what you're suppose to do to get an answer from the last person who last replied. Just keep hitting "New Post" then?
If there are multiple people replying or there is some pertinent info to include then quoting a bit is fine but no need to quote the whole thing each time. Have a read of the forum rules and you won't go far wrong.
