How to remove the extra dash in telephone numbers

I am cleaning up about 2000 telephone numbers but most of the seem to have an extra dash in them. How do I remove the extra dash?

Example: I have numbers in various formats like this:

    (234) 234-67-55
    (0917) 560-78-76
    (0920) 464-65-25
    970-82-07

This is the way I need them to look like, without the second dash, so it looks more like a phone number:

    (234) 234-6755
    (0917) 560-7876
    (0920) 464-6525
    970-8207

Any help will be greatly appreciated,
    Thank you,
