    Lists and Formatting

Two Questions: If I'm making a drop down list, with several categories and I put that in cells off to the right of my worksheet and then later notice that I need to add rows to my worksheet it messes up my list. (I get gaps for the empty cells in my drop downs) How do I fix this,

Is there anyway to put the list on another worksheet or somewhere it wont interfere?

Yes, put it in another worksheet, then name those ranges and use those names in your data validation
