I want to know how long something took to be resolved or, if unresolved, how long the ticket has been open. In column E I want it to return an actual value. Currently I'm using the =DATEDIF function of (B2,TODAY(),"D"). What I want to be able to say is instead of TODAY, if column D has a value, use that date. If not, use TODAY. I need E to have values because I have conditional formatting relating to colors based on how high that number is. Any idea how to get this to work? I've included the data I'm looking at below. I'd appreciate any help I can get because now I'm out of my league.
Thanks
Brian

Column B - Date Received
Column C - Decision
Column D - Date Closed
Column E - How long did it take
