Thread: correct formula

I am trying to set a cell to respond to if cell e4 contains a check symbol the cell f4 =175*a4

1, a4 is text so you cant multiply thet by anything
2 if you want to use check marks its easier to format the column as martlet font then use the letter a then all else being correct yo could use
=IF(E4="a",A4*175,"")
