Not sure if this can even be done without entering the formula in EACH cell (where I want the color).
I want the "AMOUNT ON HAND" to show colored cell when it drops below the minimum... the trouble is that the MIN column has many different values/amounts - I have not found any formula can be "copied" to all the cells in the "AMT ON HAND". It has to be of the same value from MIN for that to work. (There is 15 pages of my report)Hope I made sense...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! ... jj ...
MIN... MAX... "AMT ON HAND"
4....... 30.......... 3
2....... 10.......... 2
7....... 20.......... 4
4....... 10.......... 2
15..... 50.......... 3
4....... 10.......... 1
Well, no, not really.Hope I made sense...
To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook. Don't upload a picture when you have a workbook question. None of us is inclined to recreate your data. Upload the workbook and manually add an 'after' situation so that we can see what you expect. In addition clearly explain how you get the results..
To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'.
To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.
On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'.
Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments.
You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page.
Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.
To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file.
To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page.
Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.
Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
Thank you for helping - I have attached the dummy file.(Let me know if I did this correctly)
I would like the On Hand column to reflect a color if drops below minimum - and if possible to highlight a different color to show 'at' minumum.
Thanks again

jessejane,
Attached is a modified version of your posted workbook. There are two conditional format formulas for the range L3:L29
The first will shade cells yellow that are at the min:=$L3=$J3
The second will shade cells red that are below the min:=$L3<$J3
Hope that helps,

Thank you Tigeravatar -
Though I tried to get to the correct place within the conditional formatting and could not duplicate what you had done to the worksheet.
Please let me know the run/string of where I would accomplish this in the future... (Conditional Formatting/Highlighted Cell Rules/More Rules... etc)
I tried to copy/paste the format and it then just recognized the first number in the minimum column and adjusted to that one number!
Thank you for your help!
