My issue is i need the background color to change 30 days prior to the date in the cell. I have tried several different way and everytime it just changes the background color for the whole column........ Look at the attached spread sheet if you think you can help.....

Try to use 'between 'instead of 'less than'
In the frst box, enter =TODAY(), then the 2nd one =TODAY()+30

I apoligize i'm not the best at excel....... which box are you talking about. are you talking about the first 2 boxs in the coulumn....
