Hi all,
I am trying to do something which I thought would be easy but I am having lots of difficulties and really hoping someone can help please?
I have a start date and end date for a project.
I also have a list of week commencing dates at the top.
I would like the cells to be filled where the start date and end dates fall in those weeks. I hope that makes sense? It will allow me to plan better if I am able to see all weeks where these projects will be active.
I am trying to conditional format by entering in a formula but am sadly getting no where.
I have attached an example workbook, any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.
Many thanks in advance!

Thanks - I would appreciate any advice!
Select from C6:BC6 down as far as required, then use the following formula in the conditional formatting dialog
=OR(AND($A6>=C$1,$A6<=D$1),AND($B6>=C$1,$B6<=D$1),AND($A6<=C$1,$B6>=D$1))
You will need to add a date in BD1 (7-Jan-2013)for the last cell's format to work properly.
Good luck.
Hi
For an easy & simple solution. i use 2 helper(hidden) columns.(we can do without these, but in this way, is more simple)
Then the condition is simple..
=$A$6=E6
Take a look to the example.
