    Links to other excel workbooks

    Hello,

    I have a complex excel model with several workbooks. On workbook (A) I have a sum of outputs from 10 other workbooks. Also in workbook (A) I have the assumptions (input cells) to change the outputs from the 10 other workbooks. So it works as follows:

    Workbook (A) -----EBITDA Margin Input-----> Workbooks (1 to 10)

    Workbooks (1 to 10) -----Individual Companies' Valuation Output-----> Workbook (A
    )

    My problem is that when i change the EBITDA Margin Input in Workbook (A), I have to open all (1 to 10) workbooks for the Valuation Outputs to be updated.

    Is there an option in excel that does this? Is there a VB macro that can help me?

    Thank you for your help in advance!

    I'm sure one of the VBA gurus would be able to help with this. You may want to ask a forum moderator to move this to the Excel Programming section for a quicker response.

    If you are using Excel 2008, then you can't use VBA - it's not supported.
    So long, and thanks for all the fish.

    I'm really sorry but with your comment I just realized I posted this on the wrong forum... I have Excel 2007, not 2008.

    I'll ask a moderator for help in reposting this thread.

    Thank you for your help anyway.
