cells saved as html - macro?

I need to automate a task...

I have a huge spreadsheet that contains item numbers and then the break down of each price for each item #. I need to be able to select a group of cells and save as html (with no header information/tags only table attributes tags). Now I can manually select a group of cells and say save as html (saving as the item #.html) but then I get a html file with a lot of other coding that I do not want. I can get rid of the coding in another program, but it would be nice to not have it in the first process.

I literally have over 700 blocks of cells that I would have to do this in (and redo if there was ever a change). Is there a way to automate the task? I thought possibly a macro, but they are disabled for excel 2008 for mac and I really do not know how to use them.

I saw something similiar that was solved at:

    Hello BeckyHan,

    Welcome to the Forum!

VBA macros are no longer supported by the Mac beginning with the release of Excel 2008 . The Mac now uses AppleScript instead. I could tell you how to this in VBA, but not AppleScript. We do have some Mac users here and a sub forum for Excel 2008. I will move your post there.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross
