Hello
Here is what I have: Each row in columns A + B needs to be equal in value to each row in column C (column C are values that I add myself, no formula)
I would like that if the sum of A+B doesn't match C, to change the colour of C.
I know how to do that cell by cell, but I have over 1000 rows.
Anyone knows how can I solve this problem?
Thanks,
Karen
If you have done it for one cell, then you can copy and paste special Formats to the other 999 cells.
Or you can select all 1000 cells and create the condition based on the first row in that cell ensuring to keep the references for rows relative.
e.g.. =A2+B2<>C2
the condition will change in each row accommodating their respective row values.

Hi
I can't just copy the formatting, because the format in some rows are different.
And I don't know a way, if there is any, to copy just the conditional formatting.
So I selected the column I want to use conditional formatting, then I entered:
cell value is not equal to =$A$11+$B$11
But then the condition applied to all the rows in that column C is A11+B11...
How do I make it sequence?
I mentioned about cell referencing and how the row references should be relative.. I gave an example...
Use:
=$A11+$B11
