    Can't save formula

Using Excel 2008 and can't save basic formulas across a row. Develop a formula in one cell, spread across other cells, looks good until I close the file and reopen and the formula doesn't stay. The original cell is okay but any of the cells I've spread it across don't show formula. Have numerous other spreadsheets where formulas work fine but on this particular one I can't make it work.

What, if anything, does show in the cells where you had the formula? Can you post the workbook (after removing any confidential data) so that we can test it?
    Good luck.

    Re: Can't save formula

The worksheet shows the calculated values but when you click on it no formula shows up in the formula bar, so as new data is added I have to reinsert the formula. I just copied the data to a new spreadsheet, redid the formulas and it is working fine, does the calculations, shows the formula, can close the files reopen and everything is where is should be.

Not sure how to attach problem file.

Click the Go Advanced button, then there will be a Manage Attachments section, where you can upload it. Is your copy of 2008 fully patched up to date too?
    Good luck.
