How to add Drop Down Menus

    Hi,

I'm very new to Excel and my boss has given me the challange of amending one of our timesheet excel documents.
I need to create a dropdown menu to change one of the figures within the table to one of 4 different numbers according to which dropdown option they choose. I've had a look through various list and filter functions, but I'm having no luck so far.
Forgive me if this is really basic stuff, but I am still learning!

    Thanks for your help.

Re: How to add Drop Down Menus

    Hi,

Thanks for the tip. The Validation lists are really useful!
Now i'm trying to use an 'IF' Function.
Does anyone know how I'd use an 'IF' function just to calculate a figure if the cell reads a certain text?

    Thanks again!

Is this related to the dropdowns question? If it is, you can continue here. Otherwise, it would be advisable to mark this thread solved and start a new thread with your question.

Also, please provide an example of your calculation so we can help you further.
