Help with organizing data for charts (using names and formulas)

    Hi folks
I have a big problem here. I have follow a tutorial from a old chart that i had made a few years ago, where i could "filter" all my data by day, week, month, quarter, etc. This was using the "define names" with some formulas in there.

Its working fine but my problem is that when i choose to display the data by week, month, quarter, etc (cell P1) in columns AJ:AM what i would want is the total sum of the data from the time selected and not the value from the days that is showing.
How could i do this, and knowing that the original data (AA:AG) is a everyday input.

    I seen your data.

Since I don't know what the result should be, i suppose this could be done with an pivot table.

Maybe you need a couple of helpcells.

Please add the desired result in you file, and post it again.

Please also refer in your answer which cells are involved to get the result.
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

Hi oeldere and thanks for your attention.

What i want is the results to appear in columns AJ:AM when i change the number in P1 cell. If you look at it, when you change P1 to number 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 those columns changes but just showing the data from the date that appears. What i need is when i change, for instance, cell P1 to number 2 it should show me the totals for the weeks. Maybe its not possible this way, i dont know for sure.
Not sure if im explaning well, sorry ;-)

I think you explain well enough.

Please add, for even better understanding, (manualy) the desired results in your file, when you add 2 in cell P1 and post the file.

Maybe like this (see the attached file).

It is made with an pivot table (and helpcolumns in your data).

    Please respond your comments.

Thanks oeldere, maybe this is the best solution indeed.
One more question about the method you use, is the pivot table dynamic? I mean there is going to be introduce daily data that i need to make charts, so i need that the pivot table get the newest data.
And if i want to make a chart from the data retrieved from the pivot table, how can i make the selection from the the space of time without showing the table? Is there any links that i could make to the dropdown lists in the pivot table?

Sorry but i dont understand much of pivot tables, as you aldready notice ;-)
