Dynamic Graph, Do Not Want X-Axis to Plot Blank or Zero Values New version

Hey pros, i have seen a post similar to this, but unfortunetly i cant open the files (im on excel 2003), so im unable to find the solution.

My problem is i have a dynamic sheet, where water sampels have been taken on different dates.
the tricky part is that the water samples are being taken from several places, and sometimes they are not taken at the same places.

this means in the dynamic graph im getting lots of dates where no water samples was taken at spot 1. i only want the graph to show dates (xaxis) where samples have actually been taken. and i want it to show the date and not scale by 1year etc.

in the attached file i show the samples in building L1, over several years, as you can see im getting many "blank" dates.

    Hi Kart,

In the Dato column - insert ' character in the first occurence of the date. The chart will consider as text and you will get the resultant displayed to the respective date.
    e.g. 6/4/2014 to '6/4/2014

    Thanks for the fast reply!

with your suggestion implemented, i am now getting the dates to pair with a column perfectly thanks, however i am still getting empty columns, (dates where the measuremens is 0, or the cell is empty). i want the chart to ignore those and only display the columns where there is actually some info. thanks

Re: Dynamic Graph, Do Not Want X-Axis to Plot Blank or Zero Values New version

An idea of what im trying is :

    A : B : C : D : and so forth
    :test1:test2:test3:
    Jan : 1 : 5 : 7
    Feb : 5 : 0 : 4
    Mar : 0: 3 : 2
    Apr : 4 : 1 : 0
    May : 3 : 0 : 1

    0=empty cell

okay i want to create a graph for B, another for C, and yet another for D and so on.
what i want to show in the graphs is the test result, and the month at wich the test was taken, (solved)
my problem is that this is a dynamic chart so i want to look back x months, (solved). but if i look at the graph for Test 1 (B), and lets say i want to look at the last 3 "tests", it will show me MAY, APR, And MAR, and i have an empty cell in mar i want to display only test resuslts,

Looking at the attachment in the OP, what exactly is not working for you (perhaps an updated attachment is in order?)? The chart on the same page as the filtered list seems to work just fine. In column M, I tell it to filter entries that "do not equal" <blank>. Then I look at the dates, and filter column A to be "after" some data between the 3rd and 4th most recent test results. Can you replicate my results? What more do you want it to do?
