    List from Pivot Table

    Hi,

Can someone tell me how to name a range from a column in a pivot table that automatically changes when the pivot table does?

For context, my pivot table is distilling data for me into only unique values. I want to insert drop down lists that draws from the named range.

I.e 'Data Table' (all data) -> 'Pivot Table' (distilled data with dynamic named range) -> 'Drop Down List' (unique data only from named range). Steps 2 and 3 here need to happen automatically as data is added (or maybe deleted) from the Data Table.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: List from Pivot Table

Thanks canapone, however this does not seem to solve my issue.

If I replicate a name (say 'tom') in the yellow range you have, tom appears twice in the drop down list.

This is why I am using a single column Pivot Table, so that unique values are distilled from the data table.

I have attached an example with three tabs to highlight my question.

The worksheet I am trying to develop needs to have steps 2 and 3 (Pivot Table and Drop Down List) happen automatically as additional entries are added into to Data Table (tab 1)
