Hiding conditional formatting based on blank reference

Hi,

I am building a spreadsheet that references a date and conditionally formats it based on the amount of days between it and one year. If it is more than 6 months from "today" it will turn green, less than 6 months from today it'll turn yellow, and if its today or earlier it will turn red. My problem is I would like it to not display a colour, and not display 31-DEC-00 as it currently does. Is there any way to have it remain blank, and not turn red? Please let me know if I am missing something, or if it is not possible.

Thank you

Hi, welcome to the forum

Seeing as you did not provide samples of your rules, I would suggest that for the RED rule, you include a text to a blank cell as well...
=and(your-rule,A1<>"")
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
