    Excel Pivots for split tables

    Hi

    This is my current Worksheet.
    Excel1.png

I need to insert a pivot table such that the data can be displayed by NAME or by ITEM for all the dates, with automated sum for each.
When i try to create a Pivot selecting the entire table, I get an error saying "Pivot table field is not valid". I am not sure how to proceed. Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks in advance

Re: Excel Pivots for split tables

    • Pivot Table will not work with merged cells.
    • All column of Pivot Table should have a valid Title, No Blanks in column header is allowed.
