Reverse axis in chart

I have a chart with month/year as the X-axis and two data series on the Y-axes. Due to how my date data is organized, I need to reverse the order of the x-axis when it is displayed in the chart. I can do this without trouble using the Reverse Category Order on the x-axis. My problem is that when I change my second data series to show up on a secondary y-axis, this data series reverts back to the original sort order on the x-axis (but the first data series remains the correct way).

I need to find a way that both data series reverse their order so that they follow the x-axis. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Hello,

when you have a secondary Y axis, you also have a secondary X axis, it's just not displayed by default.

Select the chart, click Chart - Chart Options - Axes tab and tick the box for the secondary Category axis.
Now you see it and you can format it the same way as your primary X axis, including reversing the categories.

Thank you! I thought I was going crazy.

I couldn't find the Chart/Chart Options buttons, but I was able to get the same effect by clicking on the chart, then selecting Layout -> Axes tab, then the Axes drop down. I could then display the secondary x-axis and right click on it to reverse the order. I then undisplayed(?) the axis so it doesn't show up.

I spent over an hour looking for this feature, so your response was very helpful!

Since my post you've changed your user profile to show 2007. It showed 2003 before and that's how it works in 2003.
