Hi, Please advise how to customize sorting in pivot table. It sorts alright when sorting Column A. But when I tried Sorting Column C - it does not work as it first follows the order of Column A. Please refer to attachment for better understanding.

This is the way Pivot sort behaves as all columns depends on the column on their left sideBut when I tried Sorting Column C - it does not work as it first follows the order of Column A.
workaround :- If your work permits, copy pivot and do paste special values and then you can do sort as you need
and I know, this way is already known to you.

Thank you dilipanday. I think I would have to do exactly like that. But as much as possible i prefer to work on pivot where sorting is refreshable. I found this VBA in internet - I tried this out to see if it works. However it does not run -it asked me to create name. What could have went wrong?

that code will only refresh the table when you change a value on the worksheet-it has nothing to do with sorting
