Pivot Table grouping but excluding "Others"

So I have attached a sample workbook, with a simple table of what my current pivot table looks like and what I would like to accomplish and what I did in a hurry.

    PivotTable Customer Sample.xlsx

Basically I have around 40 customers with one grouping that is Others.

What I would like to do is group the top 10 losses (indicated by Year over Year change column in sample) but I want to exclude Others from the top 10 grouping.

After I have grouped the 10 largest losers (excluding others), I would like to subtotal them, then I want to calculate an ALL Others that captures the Others category and remaining 30 customers to give the full view of this data set in the Pivot.

Is there a way to do this all within the pivot table? I have created a table next to my pivot table in MY workbook using Rank and if statements because I was in a hurry and needed to compelte the project, butto pull out others but it isn't as clean.

    Any help is always appreciated.

Re: Pivot Table grouping but excluding "Others"

Thanks for the help but that is not in line with what I need. I need Others to be in Others grouping. I then need the top 10 subtotaled in the new pivot table. Check the two tables on the right, they show what I want as an outcome.

Maybe it's possible with Powerpivot (in excel 2010).

    Since i use excel 2007 i don't have that.

nvm - looks like you want to include the population total in your rank.

See if this is what you're looking for.

    1. filter by customer and un-check other
    2. on the same filter tab - select top ten and change it to bottom 10 based on your criteria
    3. on the same filter tab - select more sort option and sort by your criteria.
