    Creating a graphic from worksheet's data: like a "progress" thermo

    Is it possible to create graphics from data -- other than pivot
    tables/charts? Specifically, could I somehow create, from data that displays
    planned and completed dates for a project, a thermometer or some thing even
    better that shows completion vs. planned...?

    There's more data than just that, but that's an example.
