Thread: Bar Chart Bar Widths

I have created a simple bar chart. The bars are fairly narrow. Is there a
way to make the bars appear wider other than to make the whole chart larger?

Go to Format Data Series -> Options and change the Gap Width.

My gap width can be set from 0 to 500 with zero being the widest. Even at
zero the bars are still too narrow. Any other suggestions?

Does your chart have a time scale category axis? Probably it has a base
unit of days, end a scale that's months wide. Each column can be no
wider than a single day, and that's with the gap width set to zero. So
if you only have one column every week, your gap width is six days wide,
and your column is at most one day wide.

Using Chart Options from the Chart menu, Axes tab, change to a Category
style X Axis.
