Im creating a simple chart of losses, i take each day of the end of the week
, ending friday 6/03/05, 6/10/05, 6/24/05. I have omited 6/17/05 since there
are no losses on that week, i create a chart but the chart always displays
the 6/17/05 . I do not want it to show that date, is there a way i can omit
that date from my chart?
Thx Elaien
Elaine
If you can get the cell to return the error #N/A. To do this you use the NA
function in the cell. (Just type =NA() in the cell for the losses on
6/17/05).

I entered the =NA() and it still brings the 6/17/2005 entry up, am i doing
something wrong
the table is as so
6/3/05 1.5
6/10/05 .58
6/24/05 1.3
6/30/05 2.5
now i select all and hit chart wizard, that diagram that pops up shows the
6/17/2005 , so i tried the =NA() , (i entered an entry for 6/17/05) and
replaced the value with the =NA() but it still pops up. Can you recreate it
for yourself and check it out?
Thx Elaine

Elaine -
Excel recognizes the dates, and creates a time-scale axis for the chart.
Don't let Excel boss you around. Right click on the chart, select Chart
Options from the pop up menu, click on the Axes tab, and under Category
Axis, choose the Category option.

Sorry, misread the question. Thought you wanted a continuous plot. Go to
the axes tab in chart options and select category
