    Symbols in Excel Charts

I am in the process of plotting 2 series in a Bar chart. Each observation in
the series can have a value of 0 to infinity. My problem is I need a symbol
to represent an 'Infinity' in the chart. How do I do this? I can do it
manually by cutting and pasting a symbol, but it's just too much of a waste
    of time.

    Thanks

Where do you want this infinity symbol to go?

I want the Infinity symbol to go on the chart, instead of a bar I want to
display the symbol indicating that that observation has a value of infinity.

    Re: Symbols in Excel Charts

Put a zero into any cells that otherwise would show infinity. This plots no bar in
the chart. Double click the series, and on the Data Labels tab, select any option
that puts a label onto the series. One by one, select the individual labels (so it
is surrounded by a gray rectangle and eight handles), and either delete it (for a
non-infinity label), or delete the text of the label and with the cursor blinking,
hold Alt while typing 0165 on the number keypad, then change the font to Symbol.
Character 0165 in Symbol font is the infinity symbol.
