I made a flow chart in Excel yesterday. You can color the connector lines
and the font. But it won't let you do a fill color. How do I do a fill
color? I need to make the chart with 8 colors...each color is assigned to a
person who will be doing the task. hope this makes sense
thanks

What version of Excel are you using?
I had no trouble using Excel 2003, having created a quick flow chart using
autoshapes (Drawing toolbar), then Format Autoshape.

Thank you for your response. I was having trouble with fill in color inside
a autoshape. I should have clarified it more.
Thanks

If you look at the Drawing toolbar in the first image on this page:
http://www.breezetree.com/articles/f...ng-toolbar.htm
You will see a button that has a tipping paint bucket and a yellow bar
below it. Select the shape you want to color then click the little down
arrow on that button. It will pop open an array of colors. Just select
the one you want.
