Thread: Line Graphs, Lines Not Connecting

Anyone with experience with line graphs in which the lines do not connect between data because there is missing data in between? I have a line graph in which there are three lines showing Shift 1, 2 and 3 for three dates 8-14, 8-15, 8-16 (X-axis). Shift 1 and 3 have data for all three dates, but shift 2 has no data for 8-15, so the lines between 8-14 and 8-16 do not connect.

Any suggestions on how to get them to connect?

With your chart selected, try Tools -> Options -> Chart tab. There are a few different options for how you want Excel to handle missing data points. Slect the desired effect (probably interpolated) and see if that gets you what you want.
