Complete brainless newbie question but can't work out the best way of doing this...
I have two tables in excel that look like this....
2005 data:
ANIMAL l APR l MAY l JUN l JUL l AUG l etc etc
--------------------------------------------
pig l 34 l 46 l 55 l 36 l 32 l
cow l 22 l 4 l 42 l 11 l 13 l
dog l 6 l 33 l 55 l 63 l 32 l
sheep l 34 l 46 l 55 l 36 l 32 l
2006 data:
ANIMAL l APR l MAY l JUN l JUL l AUG l etc etc
--------------------------------------------
pig l 14 l 36 l 75 l 26 l 32 l
cow l 12 l 42 l 42 l 11 l 13 l
dog l 16 l 33 l 55 l 33 l 12 l
sheep l 34 l 26 l 35 l 61 l 32 l
I want to compare each animal's monthly figures, 2005 vs 2006, eg pig apr 05 vs pig april 06, pig may 05 vs pig may 06 and so on for each month and then each different animal.
The problem i'm having is that the graph looks really cluttered as i have the month for the xaxis, the number for the y axis, and so in a bar chart you have 2 bars for each month per animal (one for 05 and one for 06) which equals 8 bars for each month, which looks poo.
ANY IDEAS or should i just I just make 4 graphs, one for each animal?
