Please help!

I have been given some historical data showing age and cause of death and have been asked to provide graphs to illustrate this data.

It is in the following format:
Cause of death age at death
Asthma 24 35 27 28
Consumption 11 3 8 12
Fall 11 21 99 2
Colic 15
Distemper 1 100 15 12 25 27 15 33

with the cause of death being in the first column and various ages of death in the cells in the row next to the cause of death.

I would like to be able to show the numbers of deaths per cause of death, and also to show if there is a link between age and cause of death.

Is this possible? (I am using excel 2003).
