Hi guys.
I am trying to make a chart that merges, the FTSE 100 historical prices for 6 years with the stock prices of the Taylor Nelson Sofres Share for the last 6 years. .
Though the prices differ a lot (FTSE about 6000 and TNS around 200) I'd like them to start in the same point.. so I can see the changes in contrast to each other...
How can I do this?
Does this link help at all?

I just want to seperate share prices that differ extreamly in price... to start off the same point... so you can see how they change in comparison to each other % wise.. but I want the y-values to show the share price of just on of the stocks...
Hi,
Is it possible to provide a zipped example of your chart, so that I can better understand the problem?
To post a zipped example, go to My Documents or wherever you have your file stored, right-click and Send to > Compressed file, then attach this to your post.

I have now added two pictures.
Picture 7 is an example of what I am trying to achieve.
Picture 8 is how it looks at the moment.
Picture 9 is a piece of the table that my chart is made of..
As you can see from picture 7, the y-axis value got the value of TNS share price, however FTSE share price is plotted on the same graph with the same starting point even when the Price is about 6000 compared to TNS's 200.
How can I plot this graph to show their changes in comparison to each other..
I hope this can help you to understand my problem.. Thanks
Will I have to use another program than Excel or?
I found a way to do this..
By recalculating the numbers for FTSE I could relate it to the TNS stock Prices..
FTSE = 6268.50
TNS = 259
By taking 259/6268.50 = 0.041317
And then multiplay all the numbers for FTSE in the table by 0.041317 the graph will start at the same point and then the graph will show the movement in relation to each other..
Would you guys agree to this?
Hi Ctech,
Sorry, but I've been rather tied up with other things and haven't had time to respond. But take a look doing a Custom Chart > Lines on 2 Axes, that might be a better choice. Only it's difficult to see from your 18 months of data on the .pdf, on how that looks with 6 years of data.
